This is an amazing magazine! Great info and plus since it is the first issue, everything is entry-level! The publishers of this & Recoil along with the writers and research team have set the Gold Standard for this type of periodical.

I have the iPad 1 and its pretty good. I do think it would be better if I had the iPad air, but what the heck. Even without an HD screen its pretty good. I actually find the advertisements to be pretty good.

Updates to the App make this a great app. The magazine is high quality and you can zoom in to read smaller text. The links to articles and websites also work as well. Great price for the mag.

The magazine content is great, but the electronic version is just a static copy of the file sent to the printers to produce the physical magazine. At least the URLs could have been made into hyperlinks. Even better, some interactive content or additional hyper-content wouldve been nice to add some value over paper media. Also, purchasing electronic issues of the magazine is just a straight download and doesnt link it to you iCloud account or the AppStore. I bought electronic issues via my iPhone, but now cant read it on my iPad unless I buy it again. As others have mentioned, why is this a separate app instead of an integrated part of the newsstand? What kind of amateur chose these hacks to put this together for OffGrid? Couldnt they have at least asked Shelley for her advice first?

I agree with the assessments that the app is lacking. The mag being a good format, you just have to blow it up to read it, at least my old eyes needed it blown up... Anyway, great mag, lousy electronic application. I will say the price is way better than the newsstand, and Im not cluttering up the house.

Great magazine! Love their recoil magazine as well! Great information on prepping or bugging out. Love how they show different products as well and if you are turned on by one of the products its just a click away to go to the site. My only complaint is that the pics are blurry on the iPhone but its not that big of a deal to me because I read it on the iPad anyways. Love the app guys please make MORE issues faster!!!!!!

I love your magazine! Its just the app that doesnt measure up. Also, could you guys publish a winter issue featuring all things cold weather. I live in Michigan, and gets pretty nasty, especially with that "polar vortex" we just had.

I cant say anything about the magazine content because I cant download the issues I have purchased. I downloaded the app and then purchased the Summer and Fall 2014 editions. When I tried to download them I got error message repeatedly. I deleted the app and reinstalled several times. I was able to begin to download an issue but as soon as I opened it the app crashed. Then I was back to square one. Nothing worse than when you cannot access something you purchase. Come on man!! Fix it!!
